The manuscripts are essays by Guchkov, including one on a visit to the Soviet Union in 1933 by the American journalist Harry Lang.

The memoirs are both in manuscript (68 notebooks, over 3,800 pages), and in a typescript copy (944 p.). They cover Khagondokov's youth and military education; service in the Far East and in Central Asia; service in World War I, mostly on the Caucasian front; his experiences during 1917 in the Far East and Petrograd (where he met with A.I. Guchkov and other members of the Provisional Government); and the Civil War in the Caucasus region, Georgia, and Azerbaidzhan.

Correspondence, manuscripts, and documents created during Baikalov's sojourn in England, from about 1918 on. There is correspondence with major Russian emigres such as Aleksandr Guchkov, Aleksandr Kerenskii, Boris Nikolaevskii, and Marc Slonim, and with British figures such as Malcolm Muggeridge, the Duchess of Atholl, Sir Bernard Pares, and Sidney Webb.
