Correspondence between William Milligan Sloan, Seth Low Professor of History at Columbia University, and the president and secretary of the University. The records relate to Sloan's term as Roosevelt Professor for the 1912-1913 academic year and to social and political issues in pre-World War I Germany. The Roosevelt Professorship sent an American professor to Germany to lecture and act as an educational and cultural liaison.
