Group One comprises photographs 1-55; Group Two, photographs 56-109; Group Three, photographs 110-169; Group Four, photographs 170-223; Group Five, photograph 224-277; Group 6, photographs 278-315 There is a cd with 315 tiff images, as well as six print outs of the images. In Box 2 there are two folders and 3 photograph albums containing the original photographs, as well as a few photographs which are not included in the cd or in the print-outs.

The Amiri Baraka Papers contains correspondence, writings, and the personal, political activism and teaching materials related to Amiri Baraka's career as a poet, writer, editor, activist, and teacher in the New York City Beat, Downtown, and Black Arts literary scenes from the 1960s through the 2000s. Included are manuscripts from Baraka's numerous books of poetry, non-fiction, fiction, plays, editorial work, and screenplays. The collection also features organizational and documentary materials relating to Baraka's university teaching and Newark, NJ-based Black radical activism, as well as audio/visual material, photographs, and printed material collected and created by Baraka.

Walker O. Cain (1915-1993) was an American architect associated with the firms of McKim, Mead & White (1940-1961), Steinmann, Cain & White (1961-1965), Steinmann & Cain (1965-1967), Walker O. Cain & Associates (1967-1978), and Cain, Farrell and Bell (1978-1986). Collection consists chiefly of travel sketches, cartoons, invitations, and other ephemera. The collection also includes correspondence with Alexander Calder and photographs of the sculptor and his works; photographs and printed materials related to the firm of McKim, Mead & White; Scrapbooks; Medals; and a few architectural drawings.
