Correspondence, manuscripts, documents, photographs, and printed materials of Baroness Sofii︠a︡ I. Taube, writer and editor in Russia and the emigration who wrote under the name Sofii︠a︡ Anichkova. Among her books was "Zagadka Lenina." While in Russia before the 1920s, she edited such literary periodicals as "Skazki zhizni" and "Almanakh." There are single letters in the collection from Georgiĭ Ivanov, Aleksandr Kuprin, Petr Struve, and other writers. Manuscripts consist primarily of writings by Anichkova-Taube, including her memoirs of literary life in Petrograd in 1917-24: "Vechera poetov v gody bedstvii." Other manuscript items and drawings by other writers also concern these "poets' evenings." Also included are memoirs by her husband Emmanuil N. Taube about Czechoslovakia at the end of World War II. There are numerous photographs of Anichkova-Taube. Printed materials consist of her books, books inscribed to her, scattered issues of periodicals which she edited or in which she published, and newspaper clippings.

Correspondence, subject files, and printed materials of Ili︠́a︡ Markov, who emigrated to France after the Civil War. The correspondence includes letters for Alekseĭ Remizov, and there is a photograph of Aleksandr Kuprin. Subject files concern the Civil War (including the attempts of a Captain Muravév to form "revolutionary shock battalions" in 1917); Leonid Menshchikov, at one time an agent of the Imperial secret police; and Russian refugees in Serbia, in 1920.

Collection includes correspondence, manuscripts, notes, documents, financial records, photographs, subject files and printed materials. There are notes from Evgeniĭ Chirikov and Aleksandr Kuprin, and the autographs of Mark Aldanov, Ivan Bunin, and Nikolaĭ I︠U︡denich. There are manuscripts and notes by Mashukov and others, chiefly on the Civil War. Subject files also touch on the Civil War, as does much of the printed material.

The papers almost exclusively concern Surguchev's life in emigration; he lived in France from the 1920s onward. Correspondents include Ivan Bunin, Nikolaĭ Evreĭnov, Aleksandr Kuprin, and Vladimir Nemirovich-Danchenko. There are manuscripts of plays, stories, and film scenarios by Surguchev in Russian, French, and English. Documents include literary contracts, and one contract signed by Sergeĭ Lifar ́concerning a film scenario by Surguchev and Ivan Lukash. There are photographs of Surguchev and of scenes from his plays, and a subject file on the Russian Chamber Theater (Kamernyĭ Teatr) in Prague, 1922-23. Among the printed materials are many clippings of pieces by Surguchev, and his play "Igra" and pamphlet "Bolśheviki v Stavropole."

The collection includes correspondence from Konstantin Balḿont, Nikolaĭ Evreĭnov, Zinaida Gippius, Georgiĭ Grebenshchikov, Vasiliĭ Maklakov, Sergeĭ Potresov and Nadezhda Teffi. There is one letter each from Boris Bakhmeteff, Vera Bunina, Aleksandr Grechaninov, Aleksandr Kuprin and Alekseĭ Tolstoĭ. The manuscripts include poems and a play scenario by Nadezhda Teffi as well as Roshchina-Insarova's autobiographical essays and article about Sergeĭ Lifar.́ In addition, there are three scrapbooks containing clippings and programs of Roshchina-Insarova's performances, and approximately 40 photographs of her.

The papers include correspondence, manuscripts, and printed materials. Correspondence consists of letters from a number of important cultural figures in the emigration, including: Ivan Bunin, Zinaida Guppius, Aleksandr Kuprin, Pavel Mili︠u︡kov, Alekseĭ Remizov, Nadezhda Teffi, and Alekseĭ Tolstoĭ; there are also one or two letters each from Konstantin Balḿont, Dmitriĭ Merezhkovskiĭ, Ili︠́a︡ Repin, Fedor Shali︠a︡pin, and Marina T︠S︡vetaeva. There are manuscripts of several works by Shpoli︠a︡nskiĭ, including his memoirs, "Poezd na tretém puti" (New York, 1954).

The collection contains RNK correspondence, documents, photographs, subject files, organizational records and printed materials. There are letters from Boris Bakhmeteff, Pavel and Petr Dolgorukov, Zinaida Gippius, Aleksandr Kutepov, Dmitrii Merezhovskii, Bernard Pares, Ariadna Tyrkova-Williams, George Vernadsky, and Petr Vrangel. There is a short essay by Aleksandra Tolstaia about her father. The manuscripts relate to political, historical and sociological issues. Most of the subject files relate to emigre organizations other than the RNK, while those of the RNK are classified into files of financial records, bulletins, minutes and lists of names and addresses. Among the printed materials are brochures and pamphlets, clippings, newspapers, and books.
