Among the cataloged correspondence are letters from John Haynes Holmes, Fiorello Henry LaGuardia, Edith Kermit Roosevelt, and Eleanor Roosevelt. The arranged correspondence is filed chronologically with annual folders for materials from Isaacs' terms as Manhattan Borough President and bulk date folders for general, personal and topical correspondence. There is a file of correspondence with Mrs. Edith S. Isaacs concerning her biography of Stanley M. Isaacs"Love Affair with a City." Also includes manuscripts by her, and other material relating to her and her charitable work. Addresses, essays and lectures are included in the manuscript files. Among the subject files are campaign materials for the City Councilman elections, 1937, 1941, 1957, etc. There is a brochure from the Dedication of the East River Drive (June 18, 1940) and the New Municipal Asphalt Plant (May 24, 1944), as well as newspaper clippings and other printed political pamphlets and reports. The biographical materials include facts for speakers, personal legal papers and memorial statements. There are three photographs. The surviving editorial, production, and publicity files of Greenberg: Publisher. The Greenberg: Publisher library includes 462 titles published by the firm. Also, personal papers of Jacob Walter Greenberg consisting of letters, manuscripts, photographs, clippings, printed ephemera, and memorabilia. These are biographical in nature relating to Greenberg, his family, friends, business associates, authors, politicians, and other public figures. Among the letters are one each from public figures including Robert Benchley, Bennett Cerf, Fiorello La Guardia, and Eleanor Roosevelt.

Correspondence, notes, and writings of Sayre, including materials pertaining to his work for various organizations, public and private, concerned with problems in public administration. There is also a subject file containing notes and other materials gathered by Sayre for use in publications and lectures. The correspondence is extensive, and consists of routine business correspondence, occasional letters (uncataloged) from such persons as William Ronan and other city and university officials, and files of correspondence with members of the family of Senator Robert M. La Follette. Catalogued correspondents include Chester Bowles, Dumas Malone, Bennett Cerf, and Fiorello La Guardia.

The correspondents include Charles Evans Hughes, Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin D. Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, and Fiorello La Guardia. Also, a collection of eighteen scrapbooks.

Papers of the American Bureau for Medical Aid to China consist of correspondence, memoranda, reports, minutes, committee files, membership records, financial records, fund raising records, motion pictures, audio tapes, phonograph records, photographs, posters, publications of ABMAC and other printed materials. Also included are the files of related Chinese relief organizations: Aid Refugee Chinese Intellectuals, 1954-1969; American Emergency Relief, 1941-1946; United Services to China, 1941-1977. Of particular interest are approximately 6,000 photographs of Chinese medical colleges, hospitals, laboratories and personnel and 45 phonograph records including speeches by such ABMAC supporters as Mme. Chiang Kai-Shek, Pearl S. Buck, Wendell Willkie, Fiorello LaGuardia and a number of movie stars

Correspondence, reports, memoranda, case records, photographs and printed material. The archive include central and district administrative records; cammittee correspondence and minutes; and files on the various programs--such as sheltered workshops, tuberculosis sanitariums and health centers, public baths and employment bureaus--run by the two organizations. The archive also contains hundreds of photographs, including works by Lewis Hine and Jessie Tarbox Beals; extensive casework files from the beginning of social work (originally referred to as "friendly visiting among the poor"); and copies of masters and doctoral theses from the New York School of Sociel Work and other schools. Much of the research for these theses was based on the CSS files
