Livingston family papers, 1787-1915
4 linear feetLetters chiefly written to James Duane Livingston, 1787-1893, and documents, 1785-1915. The letters relate to the Livingston family affairs, principally matters concerning the family estate "Livingston Manor" and they are most numerous for the period 1787 to 1840. There are, however, two informative letters dated 1858 and 1860 from members of the family situated in San Francisco. The documents consist of wills, surveys, checks, notes, accounts, and similar papers. Also, a quantity of miscellaneous clippings, mementos, and the like.

Kaufmann by Frank Lloyd Wright, and the bulk of the material relates to Kaufmann's home, Fallingwater, at Bear Run, Pennsylvania. The collection documents the professional and personal relationship between the Kaufmann family and Wright, from the 1930s until the years preceding Wright's death in 1959.

Fish family papers, 1739-1860
15.5 linear feetThe papers relate chiefly to the business, financial, real estate, military, civic and personal activities of Nicholas Fish. There are letters from various military figures concerning army provisions during the Revolution, letters relating to lands given to Fish for his services during the war, twenty letters from various individuals to George Clinton (1739-1812), and ten letters to DeWitt Clinton. The Hamilton Fish letters deal with business matters of his father, Nicholas, after his death. There are a few personal letters from several family members and a diary of Nicholas Fish from 1784. The documents consist of real estate and financial matters of the family as well as various petitions on matters of a civic nature

Correspondence, financial records, and estate papers document the professional and personal lives of the brothers and their wives. The bulk of the business records are from their properties at 380 Madison Avenue and 300 Park Avenue. There is limited information about the other Uris properties and Uris Building Corporation. Finally, the collection contains records from the Uris Brothers Foundation, Inc about the family's philanthropic endeavors.

Consists of corporate records, correspondence, legal documents, financial records, maps, photographs, and other papers pertaining to the properties and overall real estate development. In corporate records, there are minutes, by-laws, stock certificates, stock transfer ledger, resolutions, certificate of incorporation, reports, certificate of dissolution, and other materials about the business organization. The correspondence describes the sale of real estate to Kokes and Wishnick and Leisure Technology-Northeast, Inc., interactions with Stanley B. Ash, Real Estate Consultant, land purchases for the development, right of way agreement terms, legal services, deal negotiations, mortgages, and general notes concerning the project. This correspondence often accompanies legal documents about the purchase, sale, and regulations concerning the business properties. These documents include titles, deeds, agreements, releases, closing statements, schedules, court records, and relevant supporting materials. In the financial records, there are mortgages, reports, balance sheets, accounts of payments received, tax bills, and other tax information. The various maps and a few black and white photographs illustrate the properties, geological features, population, commuting and traffic patterns, highway proposals, public transportation facilities, taxes, existing structures, proposed air terminal, and roads in the Toms River region. Also included are appraisals, land surveys, marketability study, community information, statistics, and other background materials about the area townships.

2.5 linear feetTwo account books for merchandise received, ca. 1721-33; Two 18th century copybooks of land surveys and deeds for lands held in Ulster Co.; a manuscript book with some poems written in Flemish; and Catharine Bevier Stillwell's manuscript book of recipes, ca. 1845. In addition there are books formerly owned by Bevier family members. These are chiefly Bibles, psalters and other protestant religious works in Flemish and French. Most of the books are in poor condition, having many torn and missing pages and almost all lacking title-pages. Their chief interest is the family autographs and other manuscript notes they contain. Included with the collection is a copy of Katherine Bevier's "The Bevier family : a history of the descendants of Louis Bevier." -- New York, Tobias A. Wright, 1916.
