This series contains diaries written by Pease, and three others penned by other members of his family including his mother, Persis Chapin Pease; his daughter, Sarah Ann Pease Wadsworth; and his wife, Lucinda Leonard Pease. The diaries give in great detail the life and experience of Pease in Cyprus, discussing events, other people, meteorological observations and everyday life as a missionary. Some diaries have poems, theatrical plays, sermons, letters, newspaper clippings, notes from his classes while at Auburn Theological Seminary and other ephemera pasted in the pages.
