Papers and 50 boxes of paperback books.

The collection consists of correspondence, subject files, blueprints, drawings, stamps, documents, photographs and printed materials. Manuscripts are mostly by Lodygin's wife Alma, and include "The Story of a Brilliant Russian" (100 p.) about her husband. There is also a manuscript (52 p.) by Professor Albert Parry entitled "Legendary Lodygin," which appeared in the emigre newspaper "Novoe Russkoe Slovo." A handwritten manuscript (23 p.) by Lodygin is included under the title "Treatise on Arc Lamps and Incandescent Lamps."

Schuster's correspondence including letters from authors Bernard Berenson, Will and Ariel Durant, Max Eastman, Nikos Kazantzakis, Max Lerner, Henry Miller, Bertrand Russell, and Louis Untermeyer; advertisements and other material relating to Pocket Books, Inc. which was owned by Simon & Schuster; and an author and title file containing correspondence, comments, and reviews of Simon & Schuster publications, and miscellaneous notes, clippings, photographs, manuscripts, and printed material.
